September School Fencing: Order Chain Link Before Term Opens

Kenyan schools reopen in September. Specify height, gauge and mesh now so chain link arrives before learners do.

September is when school fences get tested

Term time brings more people at the gate, more balls against the mesh and more pressure to close gaps before the first assembly. A chain link school fence is still the practical choice: see-through for staff, quicker than a full wall, and made in rolls you can stage by block.

A workable school specification

  • Height: 6ft or 7ft on the road side; 5ft may be enough on internal yards
  • Gauge: G16 for standard compounds; G14 where the fence faces a highway
  • Mesh: 65×65mm near nursery areas; 90×90mm elsewhere
  • Edge: Knuckled is the usual commercial finish
