How to Measure a Plot for Chain Link in Kenya

A short measuring method so your chain link quote matches the ground: perimeter, gates, slopes and spare rolls.

Walk the boundary, do not guess from the title deed

Title dimensions rarely match the fence line. Walk the perimeter with a tape or measuring wheel and write down each straight run.

What to record

  • Total metres of fence, excluding gate openings
  • Number and width of vehicle and pedestrian gates
  • Height you want (4ft to 8ft)
  • Steep drops — extra posts and slightly more mesh
  • 5% spare for tying, overlaps and offcuts

Imara chain link rolls are typically 18m. Metres ÷ 18, rounded up, is a first estimate of roll count. Confirm gauge and mesh before you order. Send the measurements for a factory quote.
