Knuckled vs Twisted Chain Link: What Kenyan Buyers Should Specify
Knuckled chain link is the usual commercial finish at Imara Wires. Twisted (machine) edge is a different product — specify it clearly on your order.
The edge finish is part of the product
Two rolls can share the same gauge, mesh and height and still be different products. Knuckled chain link has the wire ends folded (knuckled) at the selvage. Twisted edge is produced without that knuckler finish.
What we stock most
Day-to-day factory stock at Syokimau is predominantly knuckled — the finish most contractors and hardware buyers expect for homes, farms and schools.
How to order without mix-ups
Write the full spec on the quotation or LPO: gauge, mesh (e.g. 90×90), height in feet, and knuckled or twisted. If you only say “G14 5ft”, we will assume knuckled unless you say otherwise.
Request a quote with the edge type included so production and dispatch match the site.
