How Many Chain Link Rolls Do You Need? A Simple Kenya Guide
Imara Wires chain link rolls are typically 18 metres. Learn how to convert fence length into rolls and add a small allowance for corners and joins.
Start with the running length
Walk or measure the boundary in metres (exclude the gate opening). Imara Wires standard chain link rolls are 18 metres.
Rolls needed ≈ fence length ÷ 18, then round up.
Example: 200 metres ÷ 18 ≈ 11.1 → order 12 rolls.
Add a small buffer
- Corners and straining points use extra mesh
- Uneven ground may need more overlap
- Keep one spare roll for repairs if the site is remote
Do not mix gauges on one face
Order the same gauge, mesh and height for the whole run so joins look clean. Check current chain link stock types then quote the roll count with delivery county.
